MinLaw contributes to building a better Singapore for SG60 and beyond by:
- Strengthening the rule of law and increasing access to justice for all, especially the vulnerable;
- Growing our economy and opportunities for Singaporeans through a thriving legal services and intellectual property hub; and
- Optimising State assets to serve community and economic needs.
Among the key initiatives include:
- Introducing measures to enable victims of online harms, such as online harassment, abuse of intimate images, and impersonation, to seek relief and hold accountable those who perpetrate online harms. These include statutory torts which will provide legal clarity regarding liability for such harms.
- Supporting the promotion efforts of our dispute resolution institutions and law firms by connecting them through bilateral platforms with global markets of interests to foster cross-border collaboration.
- Developing industry guidelines to promote safe and responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the legal sector.
